Keep dating her (and others) too see if you match up and if there any other red flags. One little lie on a dating site isn't that big of deal. The age thing might be an issue if you want kids so keep dating and see how you match on real life issues.

It's just a number. Unless you're concerned about how soon she is going to retire or start collection social security, then don't worry about it.

I don't blame you for being upset about her lying about age. Thing is she is 38 and you are 29. Do you want to have a relationship with her? Do you eventually want to have kids with somebody? If so, I wouldn't date her. By the time you say date a year, get married, she will be creeping on the age where it gets old for kids. Just have some fun with no expectations.

I met a woman on tinder, which I pretty much just look at as a hook-up site. She was "41" and I was 39. She looked very good, fit, fake breasts, highly successful and could pass for 41.

We met at a bar and hooked up that night. Met up a couple weeks later, hooked up. Later in bed she says "what if I told you I was 46?" I was like okay. It wasn't like I was looking for anything from her. Then "how about being 54." She was 54. I never spoke to her again.

Granted, lying about 13 years instead of 3 is a much bigger deal. But it was a lie and when someone lies from the onset it really eradicated trust.

You like her. So, that's good. Yes she lied, but, since you like her, probably good to think about why and if it matters. She's clearly insecure about her age and as you said doesn't want to end up with some old dude. It was a small lie and she came clean. You need to decide if the lie was really that big a deal. It will likely depend on how much you like her - so keep seeing her. Maybe even ask her about it. It's not like she cheated at a marathon or anything and then refused to come clean.

Even an idiot letsrun troll as opposed to a regular dumbazs knows age is always considered as a suggestion that falls in a +/- 5 years and weight +/- 10 lbs range on a social site . Only a HSer or younger would think the 35 is 38 worth mentioning. Outright lies start at 10 years and 15 lbs.

Age ranges are to sort experiences exposed to and meaningful cultural icon to refer to.

Women are jailbait, co-ed, recent grad, starting to get established, moving up/well established in her career path, 50's and it's subset mature, retired and the one size fits all ages known as recently divorced.

When you are a 13 year old a 16yo is an older woman who would never give you a second glance and if you are a 65 year old guy 55 to 70 is ' just about my age' to you.

In my case the 9 inches is completely accurate, but sadly under-utilized.
