I've done the teaching + coaching gig for awhile now. Still love coaching but loathe teaching. Curious to hear about other coaches out there who have put a life together doing something other than teaching. tks!

In my circle I see a variety. Most have jobs with lots of flexibility. I know a few folks who sell insurance, one was an accountant (work would let him leave and he would come back later to work), one guy was a computer programmer type, one was a web designer/graphics person.
Most of them had the flexibility to be gone from 3-5 and then for meets.
The pay is not great if you look at it in per hour wages.
I work a typical boring 8-5 desk job.
I didn't start coaching until I'd been here for 8 years, by that time, I had enough street cred at work that they were fine with me leaving early for practice.
Had I asked to coach when I first started here, the answer probably would have been "No".
