Does anyone race in brooks long distance spikes? How are they?

Love them, they are just like the old Eldorets. Very simple and light. They fit great.
These are new, out just recently. (I am talking about the Nerves) I have not worn the Z1, but you could email a few of the Hanson's crew, I am sure they have tried them.
Good Luck.
The T3 rock for flats!
I race in the Brooks Beast. I did a PR 21:45 4 miler last week.
The Z1 and Nerves are great spikes. The Z1 fits just like a Nike Eld. and the Puma Hambee. Great spike plate and upers. A spike which can be worn for the 800-10,000m. The Nerves is a basic spike for the 800-10,000m but the uppers are like the puma hambee which fits like a glove. My team love both spikes. In fact my #1 runner wore the Z1 in cross country Regionals and he told me it felt great. Brooks is doing a great job with spikes and racing shoes.
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do the sizes run for the Z1? I wear an 11 in the Kennedys.
true to size. I wear a 10 in the Brooks running shoe and a 10 in the Z1. If you want a snug fit go down a 1/2 size.
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They also have some sweet sprint spikes... the F1 is the higher priced one. Brooks is definitely in tune with their customer!
And this new upper is supposed to be better than the T3?
the Z1 are amazing spikes

I guess that equates to 19:45 in spikes, or generally anything not resembling a tank.
I run in the Mach 6 spike and I love it, it's the closest I've come to barefoot running.
I'd give Asics spikes a shot though, they're incredibly comfortable. My track spikes are Asics.
Any more opinions on the T4 Nerves and the Z1????
The T4 feels more curved than the T3. My foot is not shaped like a banana, so I don't like them nearly as much. It sucks that they discontinued the T3.
