They are pumping $200 million into athletic improvements and they can't get a track?!? Why????

Land.
But seriously feel free to tell me where a track could be built that would make sense in any way shape or form.
Where would you put the track? Real estate in Boston is costly. BC is a private school so eminent domain is tougher.
If you put it around the football field then 1) you move fans who PAY to see the game farther away and/or 2) reduce the number of seats.
Baseball more popular than track.
Bball and football pay the freight.
they had one. I ran the NE's on it. Must have torn it up in reconstruction?

They could build it around the RES, although it would be odd shape and long.
Close to the right answer. Best chance would be if BC once again filled in part or all of the res. Of course there are about a million hoops to jump through to make that happen.
I think a track could fit at the field on the corner of Lake St and Glenmont Rd. I might be wrong, but I thought BC owned most of the land in that area.
Baseball and softball fields are going there. There could possibly be room there for more but it would be tight.
AD told the track team he'd build a track if they scored a point at ACCs.

Yes, I ran on it, too -- back in the 1970s. There were end-zone bleacher seats inside the track oval, which was considerably longer than 400 meters or 440 yards. (I'm guessing that it was at least 550 yards.)

At BC??? Bwaaahahahahaha.... those 2 dismal teams went 0-26 in ACC games this year.
Plenty of room on their Brighton campus, where they are planning to build four new athletic fields but oddly no track. They could also squeeze one onto their law school campus in Newton, which has another couple fields.

Really weird. Usually if a college has room for just one field, it's a track with a soccer/football field in the middle. There's no other tracks nearby they can use either.

They still sold many more tickets and gear than the other sports teams, didn't they?

Seems like a chicken and egg problem...
Build it and they will run wrote:

Once again they are building baseball softball fields there. They do plan an intramural field but I'm not sure a full sized track would fit. The law campus in Newton is further away than the tracks they use. The tracks are within a short warmup distance away. No one on the team complains about not having a track. I thought it was going to be an issue when I went there but honestly it was not trouble at all. We had some people going to the track every day of the week no issues.

Actually he told them if basketball and or football won an ACC game the track team would get a new facility.
What tracks do they use that could possibly be closer than the law school?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
