Nick is correct about logos and the undue influence of Nike. This is a legimate fight that affects professional athletes. Nick is also a bit of a narcissist. I think some people think he's more in it for himself than the "good of track-kind." That's the perception. This does not take away the validity of his stance. He DID weaken his position/perception by NOT running in the world championships after his issues (for backing out) were addressed
Going forward, it is imperative for him to run well to win popular support for this fight. He wouldn't have audiene without a long and successful career in the sport. I think he knows, once he's done, it will be harder for him to get a pulpit. A few years after he's done, he could quickly be forgotten...in his place one of those kids running times keeping him up at night.
