Today we take a look at all of the women not named Desi Linden, Shalane Flanagan, Kara Goucher and Amy Cragg.

Will some combo of those 4 women take the top 3 spots? Or is there room for an underdog.

Yes.

You heard it hear first: Clara Santucci is going to shock the world.
An MF is going to look awfully nice in there.
Serena Burla, maybe

I'm really hoping Sara Hall makes it, but I don't know if she will be able to hit one out of the park.
If Ryan is training her it probably will not go very well.

I agree that Serena Burla can be #3, look at how she ran at WC. She won't be intimidated by the field, and will run her own race.

Dark horse, better
Wow not even one mention of Alana Hadley. Why such much hate towards Alana on this site?
Desi and Shalane are a lock. They are just that much more talented than the rest of the field. Cragg should be no. 3, but you just never know what is going to happen when she races. Recent history has not been good. Kara has tuned up well, but is far away from her last good marathon performance. So, there is definitely a good possibility of a big pack fighting for the no. 3 spot.
I would not count out Becky Wade just yet. She ran 2:30 at CIM just training locally. Her second marathon was terrible due to injuries and a hot race day. If she has been healthy, she could be ready for a breakthrough.
Other Mammoth women could surprise. Laura Jimison and Adrianna Nelson could be ready to surprise some people. I also would not count out Lindsay Scherf. She had a bit of a breakthrough at Grandmas with a 2:32.
I'm rooting for Maegan Krifchin! With her recent 1:09:50 half and the right training she could pull it off!!

There's definitely room for someone other than those 4. On paper three of the four should make it, but anything can happen during the race
My take:
Linden 90%
Flanagan 75% (recent injury; short buildup)
Cragg 35%
Goucher 25%
Field 60%
