what a freaking delight!!!
what has cam done recently?
Im calling jager 1st, king ches 2nd, ryan hill 3rd, Jenkins 4th
Is it going to be rabbited?
We know Ches will be at least 1 second in front of Jenkins. So At least him beating him.
Jager, Ches, Jenkins, Hills, Lomong and then Levins. I just don't see Levins performing well here.
Lomong FTW.
Galen Rupp not in track 3k throwdown. Proof that he is running the OT marathon. Look for an announcement of his intentions soon.
Is Rupp's not running these indoor races a sign that he's running the marathon or he's just not gonna run until the World Champs?
No way that Ryan Hill loses this. He has the best kick in the field and the fastest 3k PR.
I'm a huge Jager fan, but last indoor season it seemed he went out in races like he was in late summer shape and then would tank the last few laps because he wasn't in that kind of shape. That's what makes him great, always gunnin for the #1 spot. But for that reason I also don't see him as the winner. Plus he can't kick with Hill and Ches.
Lomong- best days are gone, impetus for hard training and fire isn't there, last of the group mentioned
Cheserek- a "King" would be undefeated by collegians and at least an NCAA record holder...see H. Rono for a king example. That said, look for a finish behind Jenkins
Levins- not sharp. Looked horrible in a 7.52 losing effort recently
Hill- this is your winner. Speed to burn. Venomous kick. Reportedly with some recent solid track sessions.
Jager- will be 2nd/3rd. Rounding into form, but supposedly just doing longer strength stuff. Word is stronger than he has been in recent years. So, this bodes well for a great outdoor season.
Poor Chelimo,
he beat Jenkins and spanked Levins and got denied from this race. He posted about it on twitter. I dont even know him, but I remember him running train at Paul Short his first year at UNCG.
LR let's get him in the 3k!
I agree. Very weak not to let Chelimo in.
If Letsrun.com has a hair on its ass it will be able to influence the powers to be in getting Paul Chelimo in the Millrose Games 3k. *******Make the phone call Robert and Weldon Johnson
Chelimo just beat Jenkins, who is a realistic threat to win this, so he belongs in the field.
Not knowing how sharp everyone is, it's hard to call but I'd say Hill and Jager duke it out.
Jager, Hill, Chelimo (i#millrosesowhite), Ches, Jenkins, Lomong
i bet levins runs great
Ryan hill should win though
For me Ches is by far the most interesting aspect of this race. Finally will get a proper test against competition at and probably beyond his level.
May not be especially sharp at this time, but then again none of the others may be either. Unlike most, I rather like Ches, so it would be pretty cool to see him run well here.
Ches is a hack. He probly wishes he could remain in his NCAA bubble forever, dominating like most 25 year old Kenyans would. Notice that everytime he raced at a level with people at or above his ability, he always underperformed. Once he's out of a situation where he know he can totally dominate, his little facade comes undone. Total hack job
"Finally will get a proper test against competition at and probably beyond his level."
- do you mean like the penn relays or that 1500 this last summer? We're those "proper tests"?
Jager, Jenkins, Ches, Lomong, Levins, Hill.
ches - no one else stands a chance against the king.
