Just did a marathon 4 weeks out from OT, and now another half 3 weeks outs? Does he not care about the OT knowing he won't qualify? Is he just dumb? What is he thinking?

Amen, about time other people are seeing this! Dude is f,cking crazy..not in a good way either. And h coaches people..ouch. glad i am not paying him....hope he learns a lesson, and then goes on to rant after the trials that he was in the best shape of his life....blah blah..dude needs to get a real job and stop hanging with The C group kenyans in Mexico.....
Smartest runner in the US. Knowing all the best wont be running, he can make some EASY money without running that hard.
Gotta make money while the hay shines.
Haha OK.without running that Hard? Really dude? Go get back on your mill and run another 258 miles.
Dumbest runner in the US by far, especially someone who had a shot at top 10.
Yes very true. I don't see any logic to his philosophy. Racing a marathon 4 weeks before the OLYMPIC TRIALS (which is kinda sorta a big deal) is accomplishing nothing for yourself except if you want to come in feeling flat and burnt out
How much will he be making when he runs the trials and fails to qualify? I don't think there's anything wrong with an athlete who wants to have his/her best race at the trials in hopes of making the team... but I also don't think it's wrong to pass up a payday when you're one of those athletes who knows you aren't getting a spot. And let's be honest here, Cabada was never going to the Olympics.
Maybe he feels racing these is the only way he can get in high enough quality workouts. Its not quite time to back off yet. If he's running enough, these 2 races aren't going to make it impossible for him to run well at the trials. It seems like a risky strategy though. Cabada at his best would be among the 10-15 guys with a real shot at making the team.
Oh and Cabada is coached by Brad Hudson, who's led a few runners to the Olympics.
He is a fake, he wants to be a coach & he has a coach training him.
Ugh, running in Culiacan...hope he makes it out alive.
Not bad. He went 63:20
For a guy of his caliber with a 2:11 PR, a 63 seems kinda fast, doesn't it? That is definitely not a tempo effort, but also maybe 40-60 seconds off race effort. Still seems to quick for me though. He is gonna come into the trials flat and empty
Just checked, according to IAAF his PR is 62 flat. So more like 60-80 seconds off race effort. Even with that it still seem like to much of an effort

LOL, too funny. I want to be a teacher & I have a teacher teaching me. You chucklehead McFly.
Obviously he's on "The Sauce". Eddy Hellebuyck played the game for awhile - stay low, run odd off the radar races, collect the dough and split. Test this fool now!
This.

You all sound like a bunch of middle school girls, who are borderline obsessed with the guy. But I expect all the same Cabada posters are actually a single guy, typing in his underwear in his mommas basement.
He has a fan page, question him on that. That would quickly answer the question about how much of a middle school girl you really are.
His instagram account says 64:05 this morning. He also lost both shoes at 20k and finished in his socks.
hOLY sh!t. He is crazy. To run the last 1.1km on roads without shoes!? The adrenaline must have taken over, but he will be trashed in about 24 hrs.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
