Having had a dull ache round my ischial tuberosity, kind of radiating to my adductor for months when it comes up, and it produces the tightness that prevents me from going fast.
It never gets worse on my run, until I stop. The ache itself, though, is not painful, just some dull ache.
Walking is okay, though I can feel the tightness if I walk for long.
Unlike many sit bone problems, I can sit pain free, except sitting on something hard and lumpy. I can also reproduce the pain by pressing the spot. And it is deep in the bone.
I mistook it as an adductor pain, had a hip MRI arthrogram, no finding whatsoever.
This is unlikely to be sciatica, piriformis or any nerve issues, because I never have any lower back pain and the "tinkling", numbness or burning associated with neuropathic pain.
I also don't seem to have any vascular problem.
High hamstring tendonpathy does not seem to be the case either. I did a couple of test, and stretch the hell out of it - no pain reproduced.
Could it be SF or something of that sort?
I have been to 2 PTs, 2 orthos
None is helpful.
Btw, I find glute strengthening quite useful, but I am still far from being able to compete (or even run fast in fact), so I have started to take time off running, but I know I have to what the problem really is in the first place.
Should I have a pelvic X-ray/MRI?
Please diagnose me, Letsrun guru. Thank you.
