This commentary is amusing. I live down in Amish country and regularly train with Leroy and a lot of other Amish. Some wear normal running clothes & shoes, some wear more traditional dress depending on where and what race they are running (track vs through an Amish community). One guy told me he was only wearing his trousers because that particular race ran past the Deacon's house. It's not uncommon to see more traditional outfits worn at all our local races.
I think it was a bit breezy and chilly for Hburg this year. He's totally capable of a much faster time and easily qualifying for Boston. He went out too fast and blew up.
There's a contingent that comes to our weekly track workouts; really nice group.
