Have you seen the gobs of talent he's recruited for them in the last few years? Hasn't helped him and it's not going to get any easier with Power 5 being able to offer past full rides.

The talent he has developed has been 5th year seniors who graduated from another institution (Princeton, U. of East Anglia, etc). Guys with names that rhyme with Mitchell.
