women after say 28 start to hear the clock ticking and then compare themselves to the SMOKING hotties at 23, which they'll never ever ever be again mind you, then start lowering their standards....
We as men of course think theyre hot at 28-35/45, but walk onto any college campus with youre 40 year old hottie and youll break youre neck looking at the 21 year olds- human nature, sorry....
Now youre 40 year old hottie is resigned to comparing herself to the other women in corporate suit and pearl necklace when the fact is you take her to a beach in a bikini and she looks more like youre mother than youre date....
THIS. On any college campus you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a 9 or a 10. Honestly, no where else on the entire planet will you find a more concentrated gathering of hot girls. And when you're in college yourself, there's also the element of organic interaction through classes, clubs, etc. It's like a sensory overload. I remember when I was a freshman trying to date two roommates simultaneously, not realizing how idiotic and insensitive it was. It was all just too easy.
Then you hit the real world, and everything changes overnight. Those college girls have moved back home with their parents or started a stressful 9-5 jobs. They start putting on weight, giving up their passions, and focusing less on their social lives. If I had a nickel for every OKCupid date I've gone on with a 20-something post graduate who was boring and unhappy with her life, I'd be rich enough to attract a shallow supermodel.
And the biggest thing that changes is guys and girls alike stop meeting cool, attractive people to date in everyday life. Once you graduate college, you have to go out of your way to meet someone. You can't just roll out of bed and enter a lecture hall full of 40 hot girls. So the girls settle for lesser guys, and the guys settle for lesser girls. All of the sudden, a girl who would be just another face in the crowd on a college campus becomes the hottest girl you've seen all day.
