Mahon needs to count for Nova not Oregon.
Our criteria is you count for ths school you last attended unless it's one of this 5th year Ivy League grad type things. Wejo would count for Yale, not Univ of Texas for example.
Yale
2:10:30 Frank Shorter
2:11:37 Dan Schlesinger
2:18:20 Weldon Johnson
How amazing is it that I didn't know Weldon's PB? I told a guy in Chicaog this week he paced Paula to her WR but backed off so he ran 2:16. Then I was like, 'Wait, she didn't run 2:15 in Chicago, did she? SO I guess he ran 2:17." Nope 2:18:20 is what it says.
Settle down Rojo. These lists were lifted off another Letsrun thread from 5 or 6 years ago. they are being amended in real time -- just starting today.
Since Mahon's two best lifetime performances were probably both done his sophomore year at Oregon I credited him for Oregon. 27th place in the 1989 NCAA cross country and his 28:57 10,000, still the 10th fastest All-time American Junior.
He did finish 26th at NCAA cross his Senior year at Nova, but there is a more compelling argument that his 27th place as an Oregon sophomore (redshirt freshman), was better; especially if you consider his best running performance before that was a 9:13 two mile (3200) three years earlier as a high school junior!

Linden and Cragg?
Add Jon Warren's 2:15.59 for Rice
This might be a surprise but Rice is the only school to have 4 sub-2:11 guys.
To this list:
Rice
2:10:16 Jeff Wells
2:10:54 John Lodwock
2:10:59 Marty Froelick
2:15:59 Jon Warren
You need to add 2:10:59 (I think this is his PR) guy Sean Wade who started out on a tennis scholarship at Rice but became a runner while there.
was just about to add Wade from Rice on this list....great stat
My bad - I overlooked UTEP. UTEP has 6 sub-2:11 guys and Rice has 4.
