Sorry little fella but the burden of proof lies with you. One does not generally prove non-existence. It is existence that requires proof. And an extraordinary claim will require extraordinary proof.

So, if one wishes to believe that God created planets to host life - that's all cute and cuddly and warm and fuzzy. But show me the cute and cuddly life forms first. Otherwise the correct stance is that it aint there and the logic of 'Dei' does not hold.

But think this!!! What if those extinction events each extincted something more advanced than us that has vanished without a trace from the fossil record? We have only been more than rock-carving primitives for a few thousand years. Some dinosaur might have evolved superintelligence, flown through space and then perished to be buried forever in the sands of time.

If we don't survive the extinction event we just started, some other creature may dig us up in 100 million years and have no clue that we were anything but a type of ape. Almost all our building materials are destroyed by the elements in a comparatively short time. Only the stones might remain.
