Eliud looks like he's getting up there in age. About 30 if he was 18 in Paris '03 but who knows. Hope he stays on his game for at least a couple more years for (1) The Olympics and (2) another WR attempt

He looks much older than his 30 years
Probably an age cheat

I stand by my comments above. It represents real beer. Giant glass endorses binge drinking.
Would giving the winner a smokeless cigarette by OK? They should give the winners GIANT e-cigarettes with the name of a major Tobacco company on them!
It doesn'tT represent real beer! The alcohol-free aspect is in fact VERY important. They are speaking to a whole different target group, namely (endurance) athletes!
http://febfast.org.au/non-alcoholic-beer-good-for-athletes-health/http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/08/24/nonalcoholic-beer-aids-marathon-recovery/?_r=0Since there are so many positive effects in regard to recovery and rehydration coming with NON-alcoholic beer, it is considered a sports drink and a very healthy / natural one. Nowhere at marathons or other big sports events in Germany will you find the promotion of the regular, alcoholic beer, let alone cigarettes (how ridiculous...) and that's for a good reason.
...Americans and their anxiety about alcohol...it's actually hilarious.
Anyway, nice try but I'd suggest you did some research.
Nike needs to spend more attention and energy making sure its custom shoes don't behave like crap on a very prominent stage and less time threatening athletes who don't follow the omerta. Very embarrassing to say the least....

He was probably younger than 18. In the video you can see he doesn't even have all his adult teeth.
"…Americans and their anxiety about alcohol…" Hilarious? Do some research? A healthy sports drink? Only research I need to do is to open my eyes. EVERY hour a human is killed by a drunk driver. More jobs are lost, marriages wrecked, families torn apart, not just in America but throughtout the world. Alcoholism, hilarious, not.
America was founded by people who averaged 7 drinks a day, including the teenagers
All this talk of beer is making me thirsty. Good thing I just got back from a run
Did Eliud miss out on a payday by 1 second? I thought there was a bonus for the first runner under 2:04, so presumably 2:04 flat doesn't count?
Expensive inner soles...

You're right..... Preview says under 2:04. Poor guy :(
Has Ventolin calculated the adjusted time yet for Kipchoge?
Is it a world record when adjusted?
Full race, German commentary.

Huh? Sorry, but I'm confused. What does this mean? I know binge drinking is not a recent phenomena if that's what you're getting at?
I mean they drank a lot in those days, how is that confusing?

No binge, they were drunk all the time their entire lives.
I truly fail to see how a company advertising alcohol free beer by sponsoring an event is therefore advertising binge alcohol consumption.
By definition it is promoting the alternative!!
And you have to consider the cultural location of the advert - this is German. Beer is important. Alcohol free beers have started pushing their "isotonic" qualities at many sporting events - and they've inspired me to start drinking the stuff (either Erdinger or Becks Blue) - a great alternative to drinking alcohol, and to be honest a pretty damned refreshing drink after a run with probably less damaging sugar content than coke, gatorade, etc etc
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
