Wait, what?? My wife has had me on the "friend" latter for 19.9 years of our 20 yr marriage? I guess that explains why I "run" by myself so much.

what he said
Actually just spoke today for the first time. Nothing too long or serious, basically just small talk - although it was quite friendly and not awkward, so not really sure what to make of it.
It means you are still in the friend zone.
OP REPORT PLEASE,
I was friends with a women for 15+ years. When she was free I was in a committed relationship and vice versa. All that time we knew that under other circumstances we would have had a relationship that would include being lovers. We were very good friends often traveling together with partners, having dinner on a regular basis yadayada. After all those years it happened. Both unencumbered... We did. We still do. It's not the great romance of the century but is a very good friends with benefits relationship.
Some would say neither of us was in the friends zone.
Is your 6 years in the zone like that ?

Sorry for not updating, I guess it just wasn't meant to be. It stinks, but it is what it is. More fish in the sea...
Hope everyone got something out of the thread anyway. Don't wait around for 6 years!
