Except that's not true.
Except yes it is. He looked like any other east African, skinny but not starving. Now the only one even close to his level of emaciation is Kejelcha, and that's more about Kejelcha's tall, skinny frame than about body fat.
Call-out threads are very bad manners, especially from unregistered posters, so I'm not gonna humor this thread anymore. But it's worth pointing out that all this shit getting thrown at me only makes it look like I'm on to something. Posters heap insults and accusations on Mo every day, but what really gets under your skin is me noticing how he's skinnier than the Kenyans and Ethios, even though his means of achieving that may be legal if not ethical. You all seem to be afraid I'm right. But there's no point blaming me, because I'm not the only one.

Heaven forbid an "unregistered" poster exhibit bad manners! Proper etiquette is the crux of LRC. If anything, we're known for our decorum; without that, what do we really have left?

Why did you skip thel lessons above?
Kemboi is skinnier than Mo. Remember Mo Kedir? So was he.
Do you happen to actually know what Mo's bodyfat percentage is?
Who can win the 10k and 5k any way and all day?
Just like Louis, Farah can.

What a moran! Moran a what!
Wigins, the point of this thread was to acknowledge that your idiotic theory has gotten traction in the New Yorker. Don't worry, no one has been swayed by your "observation", believe it or not people formed opinions about whether Farah is a doper before you posted this.
You were refuted on the original thread anyway.
Didn't you read Running with the Buffaloes? You've got to be a skeleton with a condom on top. Although ironic that this was said to Goucher...
Another incredibly deep and in no way glib or facile analysis from Malcolm Gladwell. Now I'm convince drugs aren't a problem in athletics.
Great point about Mo Farah. You just forgot to mention that he's also one of those outliers who's outlier super genes only start expressing themselves in his late 20s.

Mo Farah hasn't changed a lot nor is he noticeably thinner than Africans.
How long will you continue to spout your drivel without a grain of evidence?

Which one's Mo?
Mo's twin is pretty damn skinny for
someone who isn't a serious runner.
Gladwell is often entertaining. Sometimes he writes good stuff, and sometimes his work demonstrates a lack of understanding of his subject.
Gladwell has a product to sell, and he is very successful at it. It doesn't mean his output is more truthful than that of other salesmen.
Malcolm Gladwell is the chips you get at Whole Foods, with the jicama and truffle oil and sea salt. I love those chips! They make me feel smart and sophisticated, and they're still just junk food.

Out of curiosity, how much do you actually know about how gene expression works? Like were you a bio major in college, did you pass high school biology, do you work professional in a bio-related field?
Major changes to genetic makeup obviously don't change much over time, but epigenetic effects can take place throughout the entire lifespan, including those that influence how our bodies put on and take off weight.

Yeah, one the best distance runner in the world. One not a professional sportsman. They don't have identical physiques. This can only be PEDs. No other possible explanation here.
