Anyone have a positive back to running from a legit case of OP?
Can you run through it? Mine is getting slightly better but still can't train 100%. I feel like I can train though this and it will eventually go away...
I had Hernia surgery last year... then ran NYC.... got pretty fast but started to have symptoms of OP' before marathon, I thought pain was left over scar tissue from Hernia Surgery ....and just ran through it. Took most of the winter off from running and it didn't get better. Groin gets heavy and aches makes it hard to LIFT my leg... late in run I almost have to mentally lift leg... I can't pick up the pace late in a run. The leg just won't respond.
I have been doing track workouts once per week and normally about 1 longer run around 10 miles at MP... pain come right back after 5-6 miles.... goes away in 24-48 hours of rest.... I did some PT, Massage, MRI, etc.
they say I have OP'
I can BIKE, RUN HILLS, ROLLER SKI, pain free, but I can't run more than 3 times per week... but honestly can't get fitter. Just run and rest... repeat... after almost 12 months... Pain hasn't gotten much worse... but not better....
I fear I am messing it up forever?
