All good information. Just to stress some points and add a few.
1. Think academics first. What does your daughter like to do (aside from running)? What classes does she like? Find schools that fit the bill academically then worry about running.
2. Spend some time looking at local schools. Does she like big schools or small ones? Can she see herself living in the city, suburb, or out in country? Does she like warm weather (southern schools) or cold weather (northern). Can she see herself going to a school were she has to fly to get home? She doesn't have to love the school she visits now, but it will help narrow the choice.
3. I don't think you need to talk to the coach now. Get a sense of the school first and email the coach spring of junior year.
4. While sub-5:00 mile and sub 2:20 800 will get you some money at some D1 college, it will not be a full-ride. More than likely, it will be just the cost of books. Very few runners get full rides for track/cross country.
