I am not a fan of these new super conferences. Rutgers, Maryland, Nebraska...heck even Penn State...they are not Big TEN schools. I'm old enough to remember when the Big Ten actually had 10 schools. I'm a big college basketball fan and what happened to the Big East makes me sad. All of this just to feed the college football beast. You guys want a doping witch hunt? Try big time college football. Go after that cash cow and see how far you get.

I agree about super conferences. But, for me, it's not so much about tradition or the number of schools matching the name (though I do like more condensed geography). I just hate the unwieldy nature of it. For example, in sports like volleyball and basketball the schedule doesn't allow for a full double round robin and scheduling can really influence the outcome. And, football is ridiculous, playing only 8 of 13 opponents every year. Yeah, I know football is divisions and all division opponents play all the other division opponents with an equal chance to go to the title game, but still.
I wish the B1G would have stopped at 12. And, I actually wish it would have been Mizzou rather than Nebraska, but at this point it really doesn't matter.
