About 20 years ago, the TV show 60 Minutes did a piece on a person’s chance of dying from a wide list of events. It’s point was to show how some things that are on the higher end of likely to happen don’t cause much worry, but things that many people would rarely encounter cause great concern.
The risk of getting killed by lightning is 3000 times greater than getting killed in a terrorist attack. Guess which one causes the most anguish.
Not everyone bought the war on terror gag.
But you have a point about lightning. Never go out in a thunderstorm without a helmet!
