There is no logical reason for government to deny marriage to a same sex couple.
The arguments on the right come down to : Ewww gross or Gawd told me it's wrong. Plus they believe in big government but only in enforcing their narrow minded views on the rest of society.
I could care less what people do in their bedroom but i'll bite on this one.
Is there a logical reason to prevent a man from marrying more than one person?
If you say yes, I say you are narrowminded. Polygamy here we come.

Last time I checked, giving the people rights is not a threat to democracy. The supreme court is not saying you must be gay. As I see it, giving the people freedom that does not impinge on others does no harm to anything.

It shouldn't impinge on anyone else you're right but that's not good enough for the left and the way it's beign implemented - it does impinge on religious freedom.
Read this carefully. I think it's totally absurd that we'd allow a restaurant to refuse service to gay couple. A public place should be open to everyone, but i do have a problem forcing a photographer who is deeply religious to photo a gay wedding. That's absurd to me.
Scalia's 'threat to democracy' refers to the killing off of states rights. The feds now control everything.
