Use 12 beers to carb load for the run. Wake up when you do and knock out the 24 miler. 12 beers and 24 donuts to recover from the run and the hangover. Avoid the donuts before the run unless you want to run 24 miles with a hangover and indigestion.

You guys are lame.
I do that just about every Saturday and I just turned 50!

Now for the details; it's actually quite simple.
At 5:00 PM eat a few donuts (sometimes I substitute tacos), maybe 4. Then at 6:00 PM go on a 12 mile run, easy.
You are back at 7:30, eat a few more donuts and say 6-8 beers. go to sleep early.
Wake up early, have a couple of donuts and run 12 miles. Then you got all day to drink beer and eat donuts. An 18 pack is no problem in front of the TV. This is best done the first Saturday of the college football season.

Not sure why this would be so difficult. Start out by running the 24 miles, then you have 22 hours to drink beer and eat donuts. Not so tough.

I bet the 6-12-18-24 is a bit harder for someone your age.
shoudlnt the point of this to be ----
1 donut
1 beer
1 mile
once every hour
anything else is easy.
Another d3 runner here.
Done the challenge twice. Make sure you drink a water between each beer and eat food and it'll go just fine. Also have a support crew of you black out. Made that mistake once.
I must be getting old at 28. The thought of this is nauseating.

Being the D3 Alum who CREATED the 24-24-24 challenge, yes, the point is to drink 1 beer, run 1 mile, and eat a donut once an hour, every hour for 24 hours. The point of the challenge was not just to complete said challenges in a 24 hour period but to essentially be forced to stay awake for 24 hours and do 1 per hour, a much more challenging task than the current structure.
This challenge really shouldn't be remotely difficult if done right.
Ex. Start the challenge at noon. Run 12 miles. Proceed to eat 12 or more donuts/consume 12 or more beers until bed time. Wake up, run 12 miles. Proceed to eat remaining donuts and beers for noon. Simple.
The 1 per hour makes it way more challenging.

I came up with a long post about why it's easy with sleep, but I deleted it because it isn't easy.
Be careful this is binge drinking.
Drinking is no longer cool. It's not the 1970s anymore.
BTW, where is the progress report? Perhaps you wised up and won't do this stunt?
Run 23.5
Get vitamix. Blend beer and donuts.
Drink as you jog .45 miles.
Sprint to end.
Pass out.
Dope.

I'll give it a shot this weekend, I might need PED's though. Stay tuned.

here's how you attack this:
1. 12am to 6am: SLEEP
1. get up at 6am and run the 24 miles. Run at an easy pace, like 7:30 miles, so you don't feel trashed the rest of the day. This will take you 3 hours. It is now 9am. Miles: 24. Donuts: 0. Beers: 0
you just assume everyone can run at that pace for almost an hour, easily?
*3 hours

After "Fast Guy" drank 100 beers and ran 100 miles in 97.5 hours it doesn't seem like a big deal.

Dang, I must have missed that one.

If you drink regularly, 24 beers in 24 hours is nothing. On many occasions I have stupidly had 24+ beers in less than 2 hours before. Having all day to do it is not a challenge in the least. Your body can process about a beer an hour, so if you pace yourself you won't ever even get tipsy.
The only part about this challenge that can really go awry is the donuts, you can seriously nuke your system with that much sugar if you eat 24 quickly. I have done 12 in an hour (no one else in the office was claiming 'em so f it) and felt absolutely awful after, it's a ton of sugar especially when combined with the carbs of the beer. Huge sugar rush and headache. I would space those out and eat 1 or 2 an hour.
Here is the twitter my teammate and I used to document last year's 6-12-18-24 attempt:
https://mobile.twitter.com/6_12_18_24
It's a time honored, very loose tradition at my uni with a few seniors attempting it postseason each year.
So you've got needs on here talking with other nerds about doing a challenge involving jerking off, and still other nerds commenting on how cool it is. WTF am I missing here????
Get a life. Back to the subject at hand. The guy who claims to have done 24 beers in two hours is a liar Or a freak of nature...I'd guess he's a liar unless it's NA beer.
The whole doughnut thing confuses me as well. Are we trying to see how close you can get to a diabetic coma? Nothing sounds more disgusting or worse for you than this. Not that the drinking part is healthy either, but at least it has the redeeming quality of catching a buzz and having fun. The doughnuts only make you miserable so I can't grasp that part.
My favorite would be to run a mile and drink a beer every hour for as many hours as possible. Don't limit it to 24 hours for the true studs out there.
Plot Twist: All donuts and beers must be consumed while running.
