Does anyone else think the track used for the Loucks Games is short? I've had my suspicions for a while now and this two mile seems to have things all but wrapped up. What do you guys think?

Results.
Pretty sure close to everyone in the race had a substantial PR, either an incredible race or a shorter track...possibly both!

I've run on the white plains track before (where Loucks is held) and it is by far the nicest track in the area. Not short, a lot of big meets are held there. Just a very fast race.
As short as Warwick Valley? That track is also considered "short" by many in the metro NYC area.
Maybe these tracks have something in common with Monaco?
Let's start a spreadsheet and Crowdsource the participant photos.
an old time great coach pointed out to me that thee is no lip, rim, ral that goes around it that might give an athlete that psychological advantage to really hug the curves. Perhaps running 8 curves while hugging the track rather than running about a foot off the rail might have something to do with the fast times always run at thistrack
things like this are why letsrun can be insufferable.
It's like the Rieti of US highschool tracks. Fast times. No complaints!
or it comes right at the start of championship season
many times seems to be the 1st decent weather of the year
mondo track
1st mostly non-relay meet
like the armory in nyc or arcadia - bring lots of top people together they will push each other to great performances
as for the 3200 - it went out fast but not crazy - Ostberg and Brannigan are no slugs - others just got in their wake and rode it along

"All but wrapped up" - why not wrap it up then? Grab your scooter, put on your garmin & do a lap, or better yet, get on your bike & set your odometer to zero and have a go! You do know it wasn't a 2 mile, don't you? Maybe those 19 plus yards difference got your head all in a tizzy?
There's no way that it is a short track, it may be a bouncy and fast track, but it for sure isn't short, I know it could seem that way, but it has to meet the standards of some associations so that means it had probably been tested to see
It is exactly the same length as the Swathmore track!
