Mike,
Three questions:
1. Did you pull out of NYCM to attempt to meet the 5K challenge.
2. What is the deal with earlier slow 5K times in November and October before the Turkey Trot?
3. How much of your running is on a treadmill?
One question for you:
Where is the DQ?

I live in Arizona currently and was bashing the cheat on Twitter today. I suggested he get a lifetime ban and I stand by that claim!

You do know that a suggestion is not a claim, right?
Nevermind. You'll fit right in with the others here.

Sorry your threats don't scare me stickboy.
I'll have you know that the average BMI for a LR registered member is a healthy 30... Only because of Ken, though.
You calling me stickboy? I've seen your picture. I'm bigger than you, taller than you and stronger than you. Oh, and my 5k is about 4 minutes faster than you cheater boy.

Your hog wife would know.
Did you call that divorce lawyer yet?

You forgot "smarter than you!"
Hi Five!
Rossi fails to understand that runners don't care about time. Yeah, we obsess about our own and we all know our PRs at every imaginable distance. But as to others, we just don't care about their times. Well except insofar as we are competing head-to-head or insofar as it relates to going for a run together. I've run with guys much faster than me and some slower, and it made not a whit of difference in the enjoyment of the run.
Somewhere Rossi got the idea that he would define himself as a runner based on whether he could get a BQ. He didn't understand that some people, no matter how hard they try, won't get it, just as there are those who can get it with hardly any work. It's not fair, but it's how it is. Runners all know that and don't judge. There's always someone faster out there.
Nor do non-runners care or judge. Does anyone think less of someone who worked hard but couldn't quite get a BQ or who was stuck at 3:05? Or think more of someone who, say, got an age-group award in a Marathon Major or has an OT-qualifier?
It's sad that Rossi didn't get this. So instead of being a runner, he's become something else. Sad.
For the record, I've been a recent lurker. But I posted long ago. As I recall it was to point out that Rossi's finish-line photos, with the raised arms and such, belied his claim that his 3:11 was not in line with his prior races because in those prior races he wasn't trying.

It's difficult to respect a man whose despicable actions drag his family through the mud along with himself. Seek help before it's too late.
