I doubt Mike will run it. But if he does show up, I am going to show up and tell him FACE-TO-FACE that he won't show up. Because I want to appease internet tough guy "Man to Man".
I am also curious if Mike's lawyer will be at the race.
He'd win in that scenario wrote:
That is why including the 20 min 5k was a bit risky.
A 20 min 5K would still require a 35+ second/mile improvement on his 5K PR time and he's not even in PR shape right now, not even close, he's a gimpy injured runner. To all the sub-16 guys posting here a 20 minute 5K sounds like not a big deal and it isn't. But if you asked a seasoned runner with a 22 minute 5K PR what are the odds of them running a 20 minute 5K in a couple of months they would say no chance in hell. At his peak, Mike could have kept that pace for a single mile. Now he needs to try to keep it for 3.1. It's the same as asking someone who is a 17 minute 5K runner to improve to a 15:25.
The only thing Rossi has going for him is that he was never a seasoned runner so nobody can really gauge his true potential. Newbie gains can be big and impressive. But somehow I don't think Mike Rossi will improve to a sub-20 by the end of the year.
+1

It is a lose lose for Mike you idiots.
Completely false. You're basically saying no matter what you won't believe him, and that's fine.
But If he breaks 20 he will prove he has the physiological abilities to run a BQ (according to the brojos). And the physiological inability is the biggest piece of evidence the brojos presented for his cheating. It's 20x more important than the missing pictures, evidenced by the brojos offering 20x more money to prove the physiological ability than to explain the missing pictures.
If the man post 20 pounds, ran 60 mpw, and took EPO but barely musters 20 minutes, then it will be pretty clear that he was not physically capable BASED ON HIS PRIOR TIMES.
He would look dramatically different an have a much better gait. Besides, which nonrunners care about this story anyways?
He will not ever do it though, because he cant. He has no honor and will not attempt anything which is not given to him through cheating.
He will make $10k, and will have accumulated more prize money from that one race than any serious runner on here has in their life.
Multiple media outlets have been sent the brojos investigation and have been notified of Mike's attempt to vindicate himself. Hope to see you there.

Hi Mike!
care to name those media outlets? I am still not buying it.
I think you are the best troll we ever had around here. kudos.

That's right. We've all messed up at some time. We should do away with all rules and laws and enforcement because no one has the moral right to accuse someone else of wrongdoing.
And I agree, we should not try to dismantle his reputation as a cheater. Let that reputation stand.
The man didn't break the law. Maybe he messed up like you have and everyone has. And as far as mess-ups go. This is benign. That's if he did what you allege with your meager evidence. What's going in this thread is character assassination. Point the finger back at your "perfect" self and take a really good look. This thread is about as low as people can get without breaking law. Worse than cutting a course. Much worse. You people are awful people.
I sent it to the NYT and NY Post. So there's two.

"Mike will be running a 5k in Allentown on 11/25 to vindicate himself and make $10k..."
My TroII-o-Meter is picking up very strong signals on this and is scoring 10/10 for BS, 0/10 for evidence, lack of, 1/10 for originality.

I got a speeding ticket once. That was breaking the law. Worse than Rossi's fraud and making fun of people's kids? Fvck no.
This fagg0t Mike Rossi is lower than most and deserves all the pain headed his way. Any man with honor knows this.
Fvck rossi.
did you send the LR article or did you try to sell the mike vendetta 5k angle?
This has inspired me and I plan to start sending this information to media outlets large and small in running-centric communities such as Oregon.
Email is easy. International, local, metro, television, blogs, paper . . . I will put a list up of all the outlets contacted and other can add to the list if they choose.

I advised Ken to do something constructive like this quite a few pages back, are you Ken?
If you are Ken, welcome back, it's been fairly boring around here without you since you got that bullshit Cease and Desist Letter sent by Mike's lawyer Facebook friend.
If not and you're reading this Ken, come back all is forgiven.

You're right.. Mike ... Sorry for calling you out about cheating. Our bad.
The New Yorker did eventually do a story on the cheating Michigan dentist, so maybe they'll have the interest in this case, as it certainly has the roll of obsessive compulsives that they cherish in their stories, plus the running angle that engages Nick and Malcolm Gladwell.
