The article has taken a toll on him.
Probably not as much as most people think. He's too in love with himself, in way too far, and much too proud to admit to cheating. Via is not willing to do anything about it and Boston can't do anything about it. He will never come clean ala Gregory Price.
Hobby jogging cheaters are only about "look at me". For them it is a social event, not a sport. It is made worse by the "trainers" out there taking money from hobby joggers to help them finish a half marathon and the dilution of road racing on a regional level with the increase in promoters making a buck off of road races.
Crow on facebook about how you finished a half marathon and the praise will come flooding in.....look at me!!! Finish that marathon....now LOOK AT ME!!!. Qualify for Boston....Adore me!!!! He carries his smartphone with him in races and had family t-shirts made for the race in which he cheated (allegedly...) to gain entry. He has no clue what running is about.
Would a hack golfer shout out on facebook that they shot a 185 for 18 holes of golf? If they did how many people would be in awe?
I live near Philly. If his website ever goes back up I'll find out what event he is going to DJ, get me a Josh Baskin powder blue tux, get my old boom box out of the attic, grab some cassette tapes, and CO-DJ his event and see how much he likes it.
You had the stones to cheat at Via, grow the stones to admit you did it.
