Duck hater or not, this is a huge coup for USATF and Eugene. Clearly Vinny is pulling the right strings to make the IAAF dance. Still, he and the TrackTown organization have clearly shown they now how to put on a Class A(-) show (see: 2012 Trials). With over 6 years between now and then, there is plenty of time for development of the infrastructure that needs to be in place. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds in the intervening time.

I wonder when Adidas' deal with the IAAF ends? I wouldn't be surprised if Nike is the IAAF shoe sponsor by 2021.

I don't remember the exact date, but it is relatively soon. I also would not be surprised to see Nike as IAAF sponsor by 2021.
