I'm guessing two could do it, but probably not enough chances...
Would be cool to see 3 do it in one race.

notice tom ratcliffe, he split 4:05 for 1600 in the DMR at nationals
I doubt he'll do it this year
but next year it is possible
I'm pulling for Braizer. I love a pure 800/1600 guy when it comes to a time trial race like this.
Fisher has all the tools. MI event rules is the problem. He will still do it despite lack of competition.
Dream mile is a crapshoot weather wise. Could be hot, humid, windy or rainy. Last year Adidas didn't arrange for a rabbit. If they do this year, and one that is capable of even 59's for 800 m then Fisher will break four again. Yes he will break four more then once if he can get into competitive races.
There's so much talent out there every year.
One year there will be a breakthrough of at least 3 in a race.
Fisher is the only one who will do it for sure. I have no doubts he will do it.
No he won't.

I'm pulling for Maton. Given all the drama with Summit I'm hoping that now that distractions are gone things will go well. A plus is he doesn't have to deal with all the doubling to earn points at meets, and pointless racing.
Given he was 4:03 last year he has a good chance. Seems he has some nice races lined up for the rest of the year. There was one announced up in Kodiak that to me has a good chance for sub 4 weather permitting.
Tomagno 3:46 already this year, 8:54 AT Arcadia doesn't support it, but he still has 2 months
Thomas Pollard, while likely not a threat for 4 minutes, should have made Flotrack's list. He ran a 4:08 mile last year, and he also ran an 8:50 3200 in a winning effort. Not to mention, he's finished 13th and 12th at the last two Footlockers.

Please provide data why he will not please.
Agreed, Fisher is absolutely capable and perhaps even in sub 4 shape now.
The kid knows how to race. He has won every major HS competition in the past two years. His solo indoor effort at Nat's would have been very close. As mentioned in an earlier post "he has all the tools"
His coach knows how to coach. He has coached two athletes to the Adidas Dream Mile.
Fisher is one year stronger and one full year cycle without juggling two sports at the same time.

What is the most stupid running advice you've ever heard?🤣(It can be funny)
Are Asics, Saucony, and New Balance envious of Brooks, Hoka ,and On?
