Hate to say this, and I was hoping things would improve but he really doesn't represent Stanford well. He needs to go.
Believe it or not, I was relieved when my son didn't get in. It wasn't a good fit. Stanford, the school, attracts, cultivates and unleashes what I call "Entrepreneurial Heroes" who are driven to succeed individually. He's going to a place where they are trying to prepare the whole person and to use the education in the service of others. Much better team atmosphere where he's heading too. I just never felt I was getting the truth from the coaches there.
