I think the better way to ask this question would be: "If you were a pretty dedicated runner who actually runs multiple times a week and were offered $1 million to never run again, would you accept?"
I hate those people that run once a month come in here and say "Of course I would!!"
So if running isn't a huge component of your life then you don't count.
I am not sure if the question has been answered in this manner yet (have not read thread, probably is has though), but I'd take the $ because I know I could help a lot of people with it. I personally don't need it, so I could use it to help family members, friends, charities, etc. In that sense, it would be extremely selfish for me to say: no, I will choose my hobby (albeit, an extremely important one to me) over helping all those people who could really use some of that million. I would find a way to be satisfied biking, swimming, hiking, lifting.
But I'd miss running, most definitely.

I'm older so its less of sacrifice than asking someone 25 never to run for exercise again. There are many fewer years of running I have left anyway.
Lets say you'll run three times per week for the next 20 years. But instead some will pay you one million dollars not to run. Now lets break that down. If someone offered you $410 not to run each time you planned to run would you take the money and not run?
I would take the million dollars. The only thing is if you are crossing a street and you are about to get hit by a car... you can't run to get out of the way so you'll become beetle juice.
