And look at how many years Romo had to play and how many interceptions he threw over the years before having the great year that he just had.
Maybe Foles will only get better with experience.

I completely agree. I wasn't saying it was all Foles fault or that he's a bad player. As a Cowboys fan I know what an offensive line and a run game can do for a team. I was just pointing out that he's not a no brainer and his record of 14-4 may be slightly misleading, especially due to that 5 or 6 game steak of an inordinate amount of defensive/special teams TD's. Again if I'm philly I would stick with Foles, dump Sanchez, and use a later round pick on a guy like Brett Hundley as a back up
Of course you want that. You're a Cowboys fan and prefer a strong divisional threat like Philly to get weaker.
Huge offseason for the Eagles. On one hand I applaud Chip for realizing this team was a long ways from winning a super bowl as is. On the other hand I am glad that I'm a Cowboys fan right now.
Looks like this afternoon the Eagles will pay up for Demarco Murray. Murray reached out to the Eagles after they signed his old roommate Bradford(funny thing is who knows if he'll be on the roster week 1).
Kelly has built a china shop up there. An often injured offensive line last year, a qb who hasn't been healthy in years is coming to a team with an offense that has shown it can't keep qb's healthy, and a running back in murray who has spent only 1 fully healthy year in his career(and he was tackled almost 500 times last year), and ryan mathews who has spent a lot of time hurt.
Stephen Jones taking over a lot of decisions for Jerry has been the best move they've made in years. Guy passed on Manziel and got a rookie pro bowler last year. Won't overpay Dez, and now didn't make the mistake of overpaying for a running back whose best years are behind him. Now we'll snag Melvin Gordon or TJ Yeldon in the draft for 1/4 the price and he'll run through semi size holes for years to come. Time will tell if Chip taking over the decision making will work out long term.

Murray to Eagles 5 years 42 million 21 million guaranteed.

BTW, it might be the owner pulling this crap, Lurie (sp?)..he's a real cheapo. The reason they dumped McCoy was the $$.
Trading McCoy for the money does not make him a cheapo, it makes him smart.
Think of it like this, by trading McCoy, they got Kiko Alonso and enough money to sign Byron Maxwell.
McCoy for Alonso and Maxwell seems like a pretty reasonable deal for a team that was 22nd in defense and 5th in offense.

No deal yet, but I hope they get it done. Stops Philly from filling their other holes and gives them an injury prone QB/RB combo, especially with Murray surpassing that magical 27 yr old mark this year.
Meanwhile we'll roll along with Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon having 1500 yards behind that line and still have enough cap room to lock up Dez long term and add pass rushers and secondary.
Also keeps the door open for signing AP but I would rather have a rookie than an old RB, even if he is the best in the league coming off a year of rest.
I said it to a co-worker from Philly and he disagreed, but I firmly believe Chip Kelly has 2 years to prove himself. If they don't make a deep playoff run in either 2015 or 2016, he will be out of a job.
Kelly already had two years to prove himself. He went 10-6 last year, and anything less than that after all these bold, foolish moves will have him run out of town under a hail of boos.

No way. Only way he loses his job this year is a losing record. The next year he has to make the playoffs. After 2 10-6 years and no playoff wins they gave him total control.

Never mind looks like that's the deal, nice job.
On a hilarious side note, philly now trading away their best offensive lineman because they need the money. Suck it demarco.
So the Eagles got rid of McCoy because they didn't want a high paid soon to be 27 year old running back and then sign 27 year old Murray to a big contract at running back.
This has to be about replacing Andy Reid's players.
How is there going to be any team chemistry or cohesion?
LeSean would have been just under $12 million against the cap for this upcoming season. I don't think the details are out for Murray's contract, but 5 years $42 million will have him well under the $12 million LeSean would have made this year.
Also, Chip wants a guy who hits the holes, a power guy (obviously he's probably just saying this because we have Murray now) as opposed to LeSean who was more lateral.
Yea McCoy's contract was stupid big, Murray is cheaper. However, sources say they are honoring Ryan Mathews contract as well meaning they'll actually be spending more at running back than they would have just keeping McCoy, Sproles, and Polk.
Everyone was wondering what Kellys overall plan was, and I think its relatively clear now that hes just making shit up as he goes. At least it makes the offseason entertaining.

Chip didn't t have confidence in McCoy. How many times were they in 1st and goal on the 4, and chip just (incorrectly) refused to hand the ball to shady down after down until he weaved his way in. It was chips lack of confidence in shady that cost us a few games. For the sake of the team it was either send chip in for some reality counseling or trade shady in for a back who he'd make full use of

As Henry Rono likes to say, you hit the nail on the head. Bingo, Chip Kelly is remolding the Eagles to his liking and Andy Reid players are either gone or leaving . He has no zero tolerance for prima donnas.
Not sure if Ryan Mathews signed his contract, but Kelly's ideal running back is a guy who hits the hole and runs over people. Murray fits that bill to a "T". Murray and Sproles sharing the running load well be fun to watch. Ryan Mathews may end up backing out, agreeing to terms is one thing but signing a contract is not the same thing.
No matter what, Kelly has succeeded at upgrading the defense. Kiko Alonso, Byron Maxwell are upgrades. We still need a S, WR, another CB and OL. I'm still not happy with Sam Bradford, he's a walking injury machine. The story goes that Kelly fell in love with Bradford's spread offensive skills while at Oklahoma and by coming to Philly, he will supposedly flurish in the Kelly system. We will see.
BTW, as a side note for those Philly fans out there. If you are a fan of the TV show "Better Call Saul", in the last episode, did you notice that the cop in the interogation room asking all the questions looked just like Howie Rosen? (Former Eagles GM)
typo: Roseman
Gotta love those classy Dallas fans and their treatment of Murray as he leaves town.

Maybe, maybe not. Kind of ignorant to make that ststement at this point in their career. 2-2 against each other, garret has 1 more playoff win, players like him better, and he's certainly been more loyal and supportive of his guys.
One has an Ivy League degree and played in the NFL in one of the most iconic dynasties ever, the other was a back up DB at New Hampshire and never sniffed an NFL field.
Again, maybe kelly will end up better, but it's too early to tell as all he's really done so far is coach Andy Reid's team. This past year was the first year Garret has had the team and offensive scheme/personnel he wanted and it worked. Kelly will get the same shot this upcoming year.
