That is Mamitu Daska (BAA Half winner) hanging with Keitany.
Also good to see Landon Donovan running right next to them.

That was a joke about Donovan. Kind of looked like him though.
Roughly 43:10 at 15k for men. So 14:16 that 5k. The fastest of the race.
14:33, 14:22 then 14:16 roughly
stream is now live on LRC homepage.
46:42 for women at 15k. Still Daska and Keitany.
Mike Kigen leading the pack with a hard grimace...
Does the male pacer mean that Keitany is automatically ineligible for the WR?
haha, wow, ok you had me there for a minute. I was about to go google landon's half training regimen until I read your second post.
Wejo admit it you lied bro....

Is he an official pacer? Or just an elite who colluded with his own wife to pace her the entire way?
Men's race down to 5. Mike Kigen (9) , Daniel Wanjiru (10) , Mosient Geremew (5) Edward Kiptoo (12) + 1 other.
Geremew has run the fastest 59:11 and Kiptoo the slowest 61:13. So if you like the underdog root for him
I guess Ras Al Khaimah's local road race hero (#3020) has decided to throw down with Keitany.

Jonathan Maiyo (59:02/2:04:56) appears to be the other man with them.
The 5th runner on the men's side is Jonathan Maiyo #3 (59:02). He's often very fast but rarely wins.
This drone shot of the men's and women's race is awesome.
RKO is my pick for the RAK half-marathon win...OUTTA NOWHERE!!!
Landon Donovan has been dropped!!!
3:08 for 18th km according to broadcast. 3:08-3:09km won't cut it for a WR.

It really really is. Other races should start doing this. You can tell the producer is choosing the drone shot more and more as the race goes on because every time he cuts back to the handheld bike shot it's super bumpy and only lasts like 5 seconds...
57:12 for 20k for men. 14:02 that 5k the fastest.
The men are going to have a stellar finish.
This may be the highest stream quality to race I don't care about ratio I have ever experienced.
Mosinet Geremew is your winner in an unofficial 60:05. He turned 23 years old on Thursday (technically it's now Friday morning in the UAE).
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
