True is there. He's a few meters behind the leaders.
Maks Korolev is mixing it up early. Robert thought he'd do very well here, me not so much. Still a lot of racing to go...

The feed just started lagging for me...god dangit it was working for all the races I DIDN'T care about and now it starts cutting out for this... Come on USATF.

He is the pixel on the left.
(But seriously, he's in there.)
This is like watching a big blog of yellow and black moving across a green field. Stream is so bad that it's impossible to tell who is who. Just terrible. Why can they not get it together for this?
This stream looks like it's being produced by a kid running around with an iphone.
Are they using soft focus to give the racing a mystical effect?

Well it looks like Derrick couldn't wait any longer.
Ben True made a few efforts to reel him in, but Derrick's gap is only growing. He looks very comfortable out there.
My boy Derrick is crushing it. That being said, remember in 2007, Ritz has a big lead on the field and cratered as Culpepper won it.
Is it really beyond human ability to create an operable live stream for races in 2015?
I seriously cannot remember the last time I watched a stream that worked properly.
You know a livestream is bad when 486p is high enough of a quality to cause video lag.

+1
Commentary is pretty bad. Whoever the Britt is, I can't stand him. The other guy and gal are just fine though. I think it's funny the Britt and the girl keep contradicting each other and taking jabs at one another.

Gutsy. I guess we'll find out if it was smart.
If Chris wins, G.O.A.T USA xc runner?
So Derrick's got a huge lead, watching him is uninteresting. The battle for worlds spots is what matters now, so maybe we could see a little of that?
Nope. Only Derrick, running alone. K after K. Like the people running the stream don't realize that the race for other places matters.
I hate choppy streams as much as the next person, but it's got to be difficult. You've got a camera on a moving gator, and USATF.TV doesn't have close to the resources of ESPN or CBS. I imagine it's difficult to beam that picture from that camera to a nationwide internet stream.
That said, USATF did a good job streaming Houston Half Marathon so I wonder why this one has been problematic.
They running in and out through time portals 20:15 in, then 19:45, then 22:00, then squirrel cam tree view.
If you know you're going to struggle with a live feed (happens often with XC) then at least have the foresight to make sure you have live splits and results going up online.

It's only an 8-sec gap. It's far from over.
Disagree, I like the Brit (Steve Cram?). Also like the woman who I assume is Tollefeson.

I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
