Its cool that you mention this, I stopped running competitively about 9 months ago and was 145 lbs 5'10. Now as a runner I still had a pretty thick frame, but now 9 months later I'm 170 lbs 8% body percent fat and love it. Did martial arts as a kid but stopped when I was 12 and just now got back into BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) and love how differently I get treated at this weight and overall how better I feel about myself. Don't get me wrong don't quit running just because you think it's going to make people perceive you differently, because everyone has there own situations, but personally for me I've noticed women approaching me more and generally opening up to me a lot easier at bars and other social settings.
