Bekele done.
Bekele done.
Show's over. Everybody go home.
my choice of slowest ever in the poll is right

Bekele is suffering out back ... really bad
Naah, he's just pulling a Bekele like he did vs Farah and Haile :)
It looks way too hot...
Lead pack is 10 at the moment. Bekele is hurting.
1:28:56 at 30k (2:05:06 pace). I thought Bekele might get beat with a really fast time but he might not end up breaking 2:06.
Marathons are hard. It's all about Desisa and his challengers now.
Lelisa for the win in 2h05:10
Hope to hear canova's take on all this, but I'm afraid some of the dingbats here have run him off for good.
If this was a marathon on the track, KB could come back from getting lapped and win it all!
It makes sense for Bekele to drop out. Only top 10 get paid and he might get that but it's more in his interest to save himself for London.
Of course, if his appearance fee in Dubai (I'm assuming he got one) is dependent on him finishing, then he doesn't really have an option.
I think the rabbits are gone. There are six in the lead pack from what I can tell.

She's powering on. Really impressive solo run.
LOL at all the fat Indian women walking their way to a 7 hour marathon on the other side of the road.
Women's race looks more interesting right now.
Not really a solo run if you have a pace car.
Only 6 in the lead group as they go past Al Qasr.
Kenny really suffering. If he wants to save something for London, he should probably DNF

I'm not bored but this is what a marathon on a track would look like. Certainly boston, london, nyc are more interesting to watch.
You say 'marathon on a track' like it's a bad thing. The best track and field event is the 10000 and the Dubai Marathon is sick. It's balls to the wall. It's probably harder to run than those aforementioned.
HOLY HELL.
FINALLY a second man in the booth.
And thank goodness it's Haile. Although he doesn't exactly have the voice for radio (or TV).
2:55 for the 31st km. Finally, they are starting to turn it up.

Fat Indian women? Were they in sarees?
Looks like Bekele is coming back
Looks stronger again
WOW
On the bright side Bekele's back looks ripped!
A great broadcast gets even better, Haile joining in! And BANG they're immediately discussing crucial points about the race.
