Dubai = fastest marathon race/course in the world?

I would love to see his training schedule in the months leading up to the race!

I would also like to see his "schedule."

Ethiopians are now more than a minute off the world record, the Kenyans have broken them.

controlling for weather, I believe it is (record eligible, of course). The only thing flatter with fewer 90 degree turns than Dubai would be a marathon on a track!

I wonder if the weather makes it fast because it's so dry. It could be similar to how home run balls fly further in Arizona - like altitude without the altitude. Just look at all the guys who ran 2:04 there but struggled everywhere else.

The course is short

He should be able to get better "nutrition" now. Then those impossible workouts will be possible and faster marathon times will follow.

Shows he knows he cannot beat the Kenyans on a full length course. He is basically admitting defeat.No one takes results at Dubai seriously....

totally. I mean it's not as if he ran a really fast debut or anything like that. He's probably getting a ton of cash and great pacers to run this race. Don't forget to wear a tampon when Kenny scares the WR on one of your approved courses. And have a nice day.

in january in dubai, average humidity is just 65%, with temps ranging from 59-76, and there is an average of less than 1" of rain in the month.
