Get Hola and use it to transfer to a US/UK web address and then you'll get the stream
30th place at 2:05.07 pace at 15.65 km

dont know why they picked 15.65 km as a split instead of 10 km, half marathon etc.

I doubt they'll get a truly fast time.
See my post about being spoiled.
A 2:04 flat isn't a truly fast time? We need to put this in perspective.
It's 2 seconds per mile off the WR. When is the last time we say at 26:30 10k or a 12:45 5k? That's what we're talking about.
One of the pacemakers has been looking like he's having a hard time for a little while now. Mouth hanging open, form a little off.

I gotta agree, this is a nice broadcast..
I have to disagree. There hasn't been a single personal interest story (isn't there somebody's sister they could interview?) and there haven't been hardly any weather updates

Anyone notice that guy on the bike who's been following alongside the lead mens pack? If you pay close attention you can hear someone yelling "go faster. faster, you're going too slow" in the background every so often.
Sounds like Hermens.
"2:57, guys!!"
Thank you all for updating. This is one of my favorite marathons. I streamed it last year and was entertained. This year I can't stream but am glued to this thread. Many thanks from me to you!
Does a 2:04 Marathon = 12:45 5k though?

It's an interesting debate about what qualifies as a truly fast time.
No one has run 26:30 or 12:45 for a long time, but it's been done several times in the past. The thing about the marathon is that all the fastest performances in history are grouped into the last 5 years. If you pulled the all-time top times in the 5k or 10k and compressed them into the past five years, we wouldn't be nearly as impressed if someone dropped a 12:45.
And the likelihood is that we're going to see a lot more 2:04 flats in the next few years than a 12:45 or 26:30. That's why I wouldn't be freaking out.

For those of you complaining about the commentary, I have two things to say to you:
1. Count your lucky stars it's not Carrie Tollefson
2. When was the last time you watched a marathon with more informed commentary than this? Sure he's not quite on the level of the two English guys who commentated all the track races for the London Olympics but he's a hell of a lot better then most people Universal Sports hire.
I think Carrie is greatly improved.
What have I been informed about? They should just have a computer read off our men's and women's previews while they show the splits.
Tigist Tufa leading the women's race all alone on 2:18:07 pace. That would be big if she finishes close to that. Big chase pack on 2:20:41 pace
Tigist Tufa leading the woman by over a minute on 2:18.07 pace.
While i'm watching, I'm working on the HP for tmw.
Here is a podcast interview with Bekele. Anyone want to tell us what he says?

Ethiopian-born Bahraini Tigist Tufa currently leads the women's race by about a minute. Large pack behind her.
She is REALLY going for it -- 2:18:07 pace through 15k. She can't possibly keep that up, right?
19th km 2:57
Tigist Tufa just won the Shanghai Marathon Nov 2 in 2:21.
Sounds like she's pretty solid
Men's lead pack is starting to splinter a bit. 20k in 59:03 -- 14:51 for the last 5k, 2:04:35 pace.
What is that yellow haze?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
