Hi, I'm tanner. I am a sophomore in HS and have some goals for the upcoming track season.
My goals are-
3200- sub 10:20
1600- sub 4:50
Mileage- 40-55 MPW
I have PR's of-
3200- 10:59 (freshman year)
I ran this PR off of a ton of speed work. I was averaging about 25 MPW and doing 2-3 speed workouts per week. I fully tapered for this race
1600- 5:03.9 (2014 summer)
I ran this PR with no speed what so ever. I was running 40-45 MPW, and averaging around 6-7 miles per run. I didn't taper what so ever for this and came in with no confidence at all.
I have a 3 mile PR of 16:59. I ran this on around 30-35 MPW in the 2014 cross country season. I didn't have a good season at all, and I am insecure talking about my races. I ran awesome workouts just never could race good at all.
Do you think I can run under 10:20 and 4:50 in the upcoming outdoor track season? Please give me some feedback, and let me know if you need more info.
