not necessarily. I was a a 153/355 guy (that struggled to break 9 for 3k) and running 6 - 8 miles @ 630 pace during track season was pretty challenging (I had got used to not running more than 30 min on my distance runs at a slow pace and doing more shorter/quicker workouts totaling 1 - 2 miles, 3 - 4 times a week, typically 35 - 50 min was my long run) but workouts where just easier for me physically and mentally. Typically I would feel just fine after/during a track session but distance runs where very difficult and taxing for me (if it was up to me I would do a track session every day). It all depends on how u where trained and what ur body had become accustomed 2.... u cant put people in boxes and times dont always translate pretty across different distances.
