sorry, I figured the course was pretty well known among those following the sport, so I took the comment as sarcasm. I think it's significant enough, probably about 35ft of gain in only 200m, so it accounts for 5-8s slower, plus there is always a touch of wind on that course, so it's fair to call it 10+ sec slower, 15 max (IMO). I appreciate that finn technically has a faster time, but I think JH showed she's in much better shape than that this fall. obviously one has to actually DO IT but I think the implied message of the initial post is a misnomer
That doesn't seem like a fair comparison though. Finn hasn't run any track or road 5k races this fall. You can't compare her to Hasay except for this past spring's track performances, right? But even if you are correct and Hasay is currently faster than Finn, if she isn't more than 20 seconds faster then the point still stands.
