Lol - I remember the specific game which you are thinking about. After taking some public criticism from Phil for shooting too much, Kobe literally refused to shoot in one game. I think eventually he did take a few shots and ended with an uncharacteristically low 8 points for the game. Anyway, yes it was a very immature and childish reaction by Kobe who showed how over-sensitive he was and how he was willing to sacrifice his own team's well being in order to make a point.
However, I do stand by the "at times" comment. Later in his career, Kobe did seem to learn more about the value of sharing the ball and how to help other players score instead of just him. This was all post-Shaq.
