Does anyone here NOT believe Jameis Winston will be an utter failure in the NFL?

Whitey didn't allow blacks to play QB until about 25 years ago. White coaches used to move all Black QBs to WR or DB. You may be too young to remember that.

There are all of 3 white CBs in the hall and last one played 30yrs ago.

And there are plenty of successful black quarterbacks. Considering the quarterback breakdown was 78% white and 21% black in 2012 (http://www.vanderbilt.edu/econ/faculty/Vrooman/Racial%20Distribution%20of%20Players%20and%20Head%20Coaches%202012.pdf), there are definitely more white failures at quarterback than black.

Warren Moon got screwed back in the day. Spent years in the CFL because the NFL was a hostile environment for black QBs. Still in the top 10 in a lot of passing records. McNabb went to 3 straight NFC title games and a Super Bowl while playing for the second toughest fan base/sports media in the league. Randall Cunningham was successful in the same environment. Kaepernick and Wilson quarterback 2 of the best teams in the league. Steve McNair was incredible and Cam Newton is too. There have been a lot who had moderate success for several seasons. Aaron Brooks, Jeff Blake, Rodney Peete, Daunte Culpepper, .

Considering the black quarterback has only been a part of the NFL in serious numbers for maybe 20-30 years, there is no arguing that there are more successful white quarterbacks. White quarterbacks were the only real option for the first 65 years of the league's existence and comprised at best 10-20% of the quarterbacks of the last 30 years of the league's existence It makes sense that only one has made the Hall of Fame. 1 out of 31.

Rex Grossman? Chad Pennington?

How are these failures? Grossman had a 13-3 record on a decent-but-not-amazing Bears team. He was fantastic in his time, he's just old now. Pennington was also fantastic, then he got severely injured, then he was still decent post-injury for both the Jets and 'Phins.

There are really no decent black QBs now. The intelligence factor seems to come into play.

Steve McNair had a pretty good career before his mistress killed him. Over 31,000 yards, 3 Pro Bowls and an MVP award.
