Half of that team is undeclared?!

Have you never heard of student loans? If you are paying for your child's college then you are an idiot

You are really trying to find something wrong if you are looking at that. All Frosh and Sophs are listed as undeclared while the others have a declared major. I know lots of schools you don't officially declare until the end of your Sophomore year even if you know what you want to do before then and are working towards that goal.
According to this
https://undergrad.stanford.edu/advising/student-guides/declaring-major, "Stanford students are encouraged to declare a major by the end of their sophomore year. Students are required to declare a major by the end of the first quarter of their junior year."

I didn't know they had a Flacco brother on the team! Looks like he didn't get all the sports genes, though.

But in general athletes take longer to declare their major and take some easy classes as well which doesn't really help that much in the process of deciding what you want to major in.

By "I bet it happens," I mean that I think that it will happen.

Did the people you know officially declare their Major at Stanford before their Sophomore year (roughly the timeframe when the roster was posted on the website) or did they just know what their major would be? Big difference. For all of these athletes, it is just showing that none of the Frosh or Sophs have officially declared by the time the roster was posted. Many may know what they will major in though. The Freshmen just started classes so more would not know.
