Jordan just ran a 5K road PR that's faster than her track 5K PR set in June of this year:

Cain is in a different league now. It's going to be interesting to see how Alberto can adjust her to the real world of professional running.

Hasay's run probably would have been a 5:09 on the track. Nice gettiup for Jordan.

Huddle was huddle, this is what she does I wasn't very impressed with her performance just amazed at her consistency, she's the best!

Jordan running 15:25 on the roads was the brightest spot here! At 23 yrs old you guys wait and see at 26-28 what this young lady will be doing I'm gonna say by then if she gets her kick down she will be a world medalist And with Cain to push her but not compete with her for medals In the same events I could see Jordan really thriving. She's a true time trialer so I'm gonna say 14:40/30:15 in a few yrs. I really see her running 65-66 for half and 2:19ish for marathon in her early-mid 30s

The only event in which Hasay has a chance of medaling at the world level is the marathon. She can get "good" results competing against Americans at 5k/10k but why not at least try to aim higher?

Yes, she's still young but I hear no talk of her moving up. She'll be the same age for Rio that Shorter was for Munich. And he was already winning Fukuoka when he was 22-23, the same age Hasay is now. Shorter was "good" at 5k/10k too, but nobody would remember his name if he didn't make himself a marathoner.

And the reason I single Hasay out in this regard is that I really think she has the marathon stride and efficiency, which many/most of her American competitors on the track do not.

And Salazar is her coach!

i'm a hasay fan, but be real. she clearly performs well on the roads, and we all know that's her future within a few years.

and before you go saying she'll run 30:15/14:40 let her at least put down a couple decent times. she hasn't broken 15 yet and you are talking about an AR. there are a handful of american girls that could easily beat her at 5000m. they could beat her at 10k as well but it's less competitive.

But in all seriousness, I thought he actually looked pretty good. He's not all the way back, but this is now a few good races in a row. If he can stay healthy through the fall (easier said than done), he should be ready to run fast by xc nationals (he said in an interview that this would be his next focus)

I totally agree! He took charge there for a bit through the turns and looked sharp. I think the more he races, his strategy and strength will grow. Diego got the jump on them on the inside and timed that burst just right. German responded but it was too late.

It's interesting to think how things have gone down since 2008/2009 for a lot of those guys in that race. I hope he continues to be a serious player and get a much deserved win eventually.

Ummm...Germany is in Europe while Diego is in San.

I don't know if it is possible to be as good as she is and still be under-rated, but she is.

She is perhaps the best female runner in the US, and gets very little press or discussion. She seems to just go about what she does quietly, and very consistently run fast.

I need to look things up before I post. The NAU is white with yellow trim in the front. It is all yellow at the time. The guy in the NAU jersey was just in front of Centro at 3-miles. The first four where ten meter in front of them.

Upon further review I see the NAU guy past the guy in white jersey at the finish line. When I first saw the video I was looking for two guys in white.

So it is not Matt McElroy.

Yes, the runner in the NAU singlet is Brian Shrader. A solid runner with NAU. The other guy in the white singlet is Jimmy Spisak who ran for Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Both, I believe, made their USA running circuit debut in this race.
