you have to define sleazy.
My definition is shirking their responsibilities as outlined by law (in both spirit and letter); any process which adds to their wealth which comes at the expense of the greater whole either directly or indirectly in a zero sum fashion.
If this definition is used, I think is clear that the majority of the top 0.1% and above fall into this category. If I had to guess, I’d ballpark about 75% of this top 0.1%. For every Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs who create something of value and use which benefit a society and are appropriately compensated, there are 3-4x as many leaches in the finance industry (Lloyd Blankfein, etc) who create nothing of value and take 100’s of millions/billions for themselves.
One thing conservatives don’t get- we liberals don’t hate people with money if they earned it fair and square, we hate people who stole their fortunes at the expense of others and would like to see legislation to stop this from happening in the future. Much like TR did back when.
