Rowbury's move was classless and she should be DQ'd. Or at least tested for Centro sauce.

Okay now it's 3:59.92 with Rowbury .01s back... very tight race up front, wow, top two places are Americans under 4 minutes, Hassan back in fourth, Jenny picks up $10k for win, $40k for league, and a ton of endorsements
^^ Are you kidding me?? Simpson was the one who tripped her across the finish line. Stop hating on NOP for 1 second and actually watch the race

Classless? She took the rail and Simpson drifted over to cut her off. I don't see fault with Rowbury.
Who cares about the crash?!@ It doesn't matter!
No one pushed or blocked or cut anyone else off. They were racing for the win.
Why do some people have to analyze and find fault when anything exciting happens in T&F? Get a life.
3:59.94 TO TAKE THE FINAL, HASSAN FADED AND ROWBURY MOVED ALL THE WAY TO SECOND OMG

+1
Great race and effort by both.
jenny was on the outside of lane 1 to force out hassan, leaving a small space on the rail. they tangled arms, maybe jenny stumbled into the rail a little (maybe) and they tripped each other up
racing incident - no rule break

INCREDIBLE efforts by both. Diving thru the line. Hard to top that kind of drama in a race for a USA fan.
The contrast between the two is interesting. Jenny stays this nice happy girl thru the race. Beautiful Rowbury takes on this terminator persona. lol
What a race. Simpson went out hard. Hassan came up on her shoulder and was right there with 100 to go but Simpson pulled away only to have Rowbury come up on her inside.
Both Americans went sprawling to the track. The race has only been finished for 10 minutes and people already are arguing for a DQ - but NOP fans think Simpson deserves the DQ, others say Rowbury.
What drama.

Rowbury's faceplant was very close to the concrete rail. I hope she is okay.
What a race. Good description. Wow. That was fun.
That was a great race.
I find it funny how no one complains that Sifan HASSAN or Abeba AREGAWI can't hold it together, can't race the big races, or are so inconsistent. That criticism is only levelled at American runners.
Also, someone should complain about Genzebe Dibaba dodging the Americans and being a hero at nothing indoor races yet not showing up for the Diamond League final.

Yes, she is going to be feeling that for awhile. She is tiny and those rails do not forgive. Jenny is going to be feeling a few affects too but she didn't have to contend with the rail.
Brenda Martinez in 4:01.36. Three American women under 4:02. Is that the fastest three times in one race for Americans? Or did Suzy Hamilton/Regina Jacobs/someone else do that?
Well we had 4 under 4:02 last year in Monaco
Simpson wins in 4:00.48
B-Mart 3rd in 4:00.93
Rowbury 4th in 4:01.28
Grunewald (then Gabriele Anderson) 5th in 4:01.48

Another thriller. Another gutty performance by Jen. Talk about earning it. She did get away with a little arm hook on Row. Too inclusive to DQ, but definitely a factor.
If intentional it was a crafty move to make it look unintentional.
