OK, so I finally dropped some serious $$$ and hired a PT to gain some muscle. I told him I'd still run 3 times a week to maintain cardiovascular fitness. First he ridiculed me, saying that strength training was all that is needed for heart health but after I told him that I also enjoy running, he recommend sprinting if I had to run at all.
He doesn't really know much about sprinting though. So what would be a good sprint training regiment for doing 3x per week?
Disclaimer: no, I can't fire the coach, I purchased a 20 session ticket for $1400 (packaged deal via groupon), so please no "get a better coach" advise).
