I have a job that requires me to drive a lot. How will this affect my running? Does driving an automatic make the right leg stronger since it is working both the gas and the brake pedals?
I'm not too worried about it, but I am curious.

No more than tapping your foot does Id assume. If it bothers you you could always drive a standard
I've often thought about this...in particular with my calves and Achilles. If you've ever done a good workout and then driven a long distance (30 min plus) haven't you felt it in your legs when breaking or holding the accelerator down?
My biggest issue is sitting with good posture so that my hips don't get all jacked. I have to extend my non driving leg all the way instead of bending the knee. Plus I tend to lean on the gas/break glute as well.

I can relate to this. I tend to tighten up my butt cheeks when I'm driving, and consequently my upper hamstrings, and I think sitting in that position has been the cause of my hammy injuries the past few years. I have to constantly tell myself to relax my butt and legs while im driving long distances.

It's a company vehicle, so I don't have that option. Like I said, I'm not worried about it.
