Hey there. Relatively new to running (3 weeks).
The best mile route I can find at the moment requires me to run half a mile, stop and reverse direction, and run half a mile back. (The other routes either have poor running surface or require you to cross a road, which may ruin the run should cars appear.)
Obviously, how much time wasted stopping and turning around depends on the distance/speed/time of the run.
My best run so far is 6:53. Does that mean on regular route I'd run 6:4X? I feel like I waste a lot of energy stopping and then accelerating again.
Whenever I get the chance to go to a track it'll be like heaven lol.
